Biogen Clinical Trial Learning Community (CTLC)

The Clinical Trial Learning Community (CTLC) is an initiative by the National Minority Quality Forum (NMQF) in partnership with Biogen, designed to address historical barriers affecting the participation of underrepresented populations in neurological clinical trials.

Our mission is to create a collaborative space that brings together local providers, community leaders, investigator sites, policymakers, and industry stakeholders to increase diversity and participation in clinical trials for serious, chronic diseases like lupus and Alzheimer’s disease.

Since its launch in 2020, CTLC has focused on reducing health disparities by enhancing access to clinical research and raising awareness through targeted education and training. Our efforts include:

Currently, CTLC is expanding its focus to Alzheimer’s Disease in both the DMV and NYC, while continuing efforts in lupus education and community investment. Our goal is to develop sustainable recommendations, guidelines, and metrics that drive systemic change within local care networks, ensuring that diverse populations have the resources and access needed to participate in life-changing clinical trials.
